SOHO SALON NIGHT - November 10, 2006

NEW YORK, NY -- Dagmar performs at THE RENNAISSANT SALON, a Parisien-style performing artists haven in a fashionable Soho loft. We meet a guy who has studied and memorized and actually performs Kurt Schwitters' "Ursonata", a Dada performance art piece from the 1920's that was one of many inspirations/influences for Bauer's "Blue Flower" project.

HALLOWEEN AT LIZARD LOUNGE - October 31, 2006

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Dagmar the duo has its first official gig at THE LIZARD LOUNGE, invited by SHAWN WOLF WORTIS to join in his Halloween night experiment in controlled chaos with his band GATO MALO and the indescribably pernicious Polynesian party band WAITIKI.

1st GIG AT THE LIVING ROOM - October 20, 2006

NEW YORK, NY -- The Dagmar duo has its first gig at The Living Room for a packed house and a pass-the-hat. We film Episode 3 of The Dagmar Diaries. Jim bumps into does a big download with old friend and colleague Darren Hallinan, who happens to be working as a sound engineer at the club.

FIRST SQUAWWWWWWK - October 12, 2006

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Dagmar's first visit to the infamous SQUAWK COFFEE HOUSE open mic. We film Episode 2 of The Dagmar Diaries, and find great sympatico there, making what we expect will be lifelong friends of Squawk founders Lee Kidd, Jessa Piaia, Mick Cusimano and Richard Cambridge. We will return to Squawk many times.

1st OPEN MIC AT THE BURREN - October 10, 2006

SOMERVILLE, MA -- Dagmar the duo does its first open mic at THE BURREN, hosted by the lovely and talented Danielle Miraglia, who has since become a good friend. Danielle is a princess. Bauer, as PETER BREVIS, is later invited back to the Burren for a featured solo set on Danielle's weekly Sunday Singer-Songwriter night.

1st OPEN MIC AT MILKYWAY - October 9, 2006

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA -- Dagmar the duo does its first open mic at The Milkyway Lounge. We meet the hostess, deeply talented MISS TESS, who invites us back to The Milkyway for a feature performance later. We film Episode 1 of The Dagmar Diaries.

MALDEN, MA -- Dagmar the duo makes many lasting friends in their first of several open mic appearances at this hard-working, salt-of-the-earth pub.

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Dagmar the duo does its first open mic at the venerable CLUB PASSIM, a legendary folk haunt since Judy Collins and Bob Dylan hung there in the early 60's.

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- DAGMAR duo Bauer & McGeary do their first open mic at The Lizard Lounge, hosted by Tom Bianchi, who has become a good friend and colleague. Tom is a prince.

NEW YORK, NY -- DAGMAR has its first gig at Arlene's Grocery.

PEGGY JACOBS' SOIREE - September 21, 2006

NEW YORK, NY -- Peggy Jacobs, who first heard Dagmar at its debut performance at Joe's Pub in June 2005, and became a self-described "groupie", holds a Paris salon-style soiree at her swank upper west side apartment to introduce Dagmar to her many culured and interesting friends, including the lead guitarist of the all-chick tribute band Lezz Zeppelin. Bauer & McGeary perform a few songs to entertain the guests, then nibble on some spectacular vittles and chat their way through the night, making new friends. It was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for us, and Peggy Jacobs, having since forsaken the west for the east side, nevertheless establishes herself as a shining light and permanent fixture in the Dagmar pantheon of good memories.

FIRST OPEN MIC EVER - September 15, 2006

LYNN, MA -- Dagmar duo Bauer & McGeary participate in their first open mic ever at THE GULU-GULU CAFE, and meet for the first time now good friends Steve and Marie Feldman, owners of the club. Bauer & McGeary begin making open mics a habit in both Boston and NYC.

DOOR No. 1 RELEASED - September 15, 2006

BEVERLY, MA -- DAGMAR''s debut album, "Door No. 1", the first in a planned multi-CD song cycle, was released independently on Bauer's own Pontoon Records label. The album is available for purchase on i-Tunes and through CDbaby.com Joining Dagmar duo Bauer & McGeary on the recording are: MAT FIELDES (bass), VESSKO GELLEV (violin), PABLO RIEPPI (percussion, drums, vibes), and DAVID ROZENBLATT (drums, percussion, marimba)

DAGMAR2 FIRST BOSTON GIG - September 14, 2006

BOSTON, MA -- Dagmar 2 the duo has its first Boston gig at Club 1254. We cross paths with Reverend Bob and his band The Darkness for the first time. Rev Bob has gone on to become a great Dagmar friend and occasional bass player.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN -- DAGMAR 2 begins the music video shoot for "(To Hell With) The Commander-in-Chief", again with filmmaker Bert Esenherz behind the camera and helping us add a diaphonous bobbing blimp in the background.

DAGMAR 2 THE DUO DEBUT - August 27, 2006

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN -- Dagmar 2 the duo gives its first performance, opening for good friend Ted Atkatz and his Chicago-based band NYCO, at The Hook, a great, very remote and under-appreciated club in Red Hook.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN -- Under the direction of Dagmar duo Bauer & McGeary and the skillful and unpredictably dangerous eye of filmmaker BERT ESENHERZ at his EAST COAST ALIENS film studio, Dagmar began shooting its first music video, for the song "I, I, I".

CD PRE-RELEASE PARTY, DOOR No. 1 - June 14, 2006

NEW YORK, NY -- Almost exactly a year after the band's debut performance, the "pre-release" party for Dagmar's debut CD, "Door No.1" was held at JOE'S PUB in NYC.

NEW YORK, NY -- Booked by Brice Rosenbloom, who used to book Bauer's WEIMARBAND at MAKOR on the upper west side, DAGMAR has its first gig at MO PITKINS' HOUSE OF SATISFACTION, in the east village.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN -- DAGMAR shares a gig at GALAPAGOS ART SPACE (in its original Williamsburg location, before it moved to DUMBO), with Jim's son LEWIS and his college-days all-star band JOHNNY DIVINE, and our friend and brilliant comedienneKRISTEN SCHAAL, now of FLIGHT OF THE CONCORDS fame (she plays MEL, their fan)

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN -- DAGMAR has its first gig atGALAPAGOS ART SPACE, once a haunt for Bauer's WEIMARBAND. Rounding out the evening are our friends with THE NEW YORK PERCUSSION QUARTET and the poets of LOUDER ARTS.

1st GIG at THE KNITTING FACTORY - August 8, 2005

NEW YORK, NY: DAGMAR has its first gig at The Knitting Factory. Bauer's childhood friend Sam Stuart makes a surprise appearance after disappearing for 20 years.
