NEW YORK, NY -- It was announced that Dagmar duo Bauer & McGeary are one of 15 new artists admitted to the MTA's Music Under New York (MUNY) program this year after an audition on May 15 by 70 artists before a panel of 30 judges in the middle of Grand Central Station. "Dagmar2" now has a lifetime license to perform with amplification in the NYC subways under the MUNY banner.

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- PETER BREVIS, apparently Bauer's alter-ego-doppelganger, makes his first appearance, at the Squawk Coffeehouse, singing a collection of Bauer and Dylan songs. Henceforth, you can call him "Jim" or you can call him "Pete". It's not clear what the difference is, or if there is a difference, or what it means.
NEW YORK, NY -- To celebrate a new Blue Flower production, Bauer and McGeary reconvene THE WEIMARBAND, Bauer's "house band" for The Blue Flower, at Joe's Pub for its first performance together in four years. In addition to Bauer & McGeary, the band includes vocalists JEN CHAPIN and DAVID DRIVER, MARK RUBINSTEIN on accordion and piano, ERIC HOLTJE on bassoon, JOHN WIDGREN on pedal steel guitar, STEPHAN CRUMP on bass, ANN KIM on cello, Dagmar drummer DAVID ROZENBLATT on percussion, and PATRICK CARMICHAEL on drums. The band played songs from The Blue Flower in the style of music Bauer created for the show: "Sturm n' Twang", or "Kurt Weill going tete-a-tete with Hank Williams," a blend of American country & western and 1920's Berlin cabaret music.

One of the women provides Bauer with a finger "condom" from the bar to stop his guitar index finger from bleeding (injured earlier in the evening by a brand new tomato-slicing knife)
