A new song written by Alfred Nesser, one of the most delightful characters we've met in our open mike travels -- a metaphoric paean to Dagmar's "clothing", inspired, he says, by a dream he had. He played it for us at the Main Street Market open mike in Concord, MA last night. The chorus: "You'll never know just what she'll wear, or what she'll choose to sing. I just wear my common clothes, but she wears everything." Thanks Al! Pretty much says it all.

Sept 13, 2009: Cambridge, MA -- "Poet, writer, intentional walker, peacemaker, activist, juggler . . ." and new Dagmar friend JEFFREY OSTROM wrote a Dagmar-inspired poem while watching Dagmar busk in "the pit" in Harvard Square on a sun-dappled Sunday afternoon. Aug 30, 2009: Cambridge, MA -- While busking in Harvard Square we had a long and lovely conversation with some new Persian friends, three graduate students at MIT, who recognized the Persian "proverb" that inspired the Dagmar song "Dark Enough" ("When it's dark enough, you can see the stars"). They were kind enough to write down (in Farsi) the excerpt from the HAFEZ poem the quote comes from, shown here. Thank you, new Persian friends! Let's hope it's getting dark enough where you come from that the stars will soon be peaking out.
